Charades Word Wheel
Forty easy-to-mime charades ideas — spin, act it out without a word, and let your team guess.
Tip: Ctrl + Enter (⌘ + Enter on Mac) runs it, from the list or from the page.
How it works
- The actor spins the wheel while the guessers look away.
- Mime the word — no talking, no pointing at objects — before the time limit your group agreed on.
- Each word is removed after it's played; pick a category preset to make a round easier or harder.
What people use it for
Family game night
The Animals preset is perfect for young kids who can't read the cards yet.
Classroom energizer
Five minutes of Actions or Jobs charades gets everyone out of their seats.
Parties
Split into two teams with the team picker, then take turns spinning for words.
Questions
- How do you play charades?
- One player acts out a word without speaking while their team guesses. Agree on a time limit, often one minute, and score a point for each correct guess.
- Can I add movies or book titles?
- Yes. Type your own titles, one per line, and the wheel uses them instead.
