BOM Diff Checker
Compare the old and new version of a parts list, shopping list or bill of materials and see exactly what was added, removed or changed.
Differences
1 added · 1 removed · 1 changed
1 part unchanged.
+ U2-STM32 x1 - U1-ATMEGA x1 ~ R10K 4 -> 6 (+2)
How it works
- Paste the old list in the first box, one part per line, with the quantity after a comma, semicolon or tab.
- Paste the new list in the second box in the same format. A line without a quantity counts as 1.
- Read the added, removed and changed parts, with the quantity difference for each.
- Copy the result into your change notes or purchase order.
What people use it for
Hardware revisions
Spot which components changed between two versions of a board or kit.
Shopping and ordering

Building projects
See what to buy when a materials list is updated after a design change.
Questions
- What format does it expect?
- One line per part: the reference first, then the quantity, separated by a comma, semicolon or tab (for example R10K, 4). A quantity separated by a space also works. A line with no quantity counts as 1.
- What happens with duplicate lines?
- Quantities of the same reference are added together within each list, and references are compared without regard to upper or lower case.
- Is my list uploaded?
- No. The comparison runs in your browser and the text you paste is never sent anywhere.
