Questions
- What are the formulas?
- Area in mm² = the sum of width × height × quantity over all lines. Area in m² = area in mm² ÷ 1 000 000. Cost = area in m² × price per m² × (1 + waste allowance ÷ 100).
- Is this the area of hide I need to buy?
- No. It is the net area of the pieces. Hides are irregular and have flaws, and the way pieces nest changes what you need. The waste allowance is your own assumption, not a yield.
- Does the page know any price?
- No. You enter the price. Nothing is fetched, and the page does not include thread, hardware, tools, tax or shipping.
- Can I use another unit than millimetres?
- The list is in millimetres. For another unit, convert the sizes first with the length converter on this site.
