Playing time = original duration ÷ speed, at a constant speed. Pauses, ads, parts you skip and silence trimming are not counted. Type any speed from 0.25 to 4 in the field. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
How it works
- Choose One duration and type hours, minutes and seconds, or choose Several durations and write one per line.
- Type the playback speed, from 0.25 to 4.
- Read the playing time at that speed, the time saved and the percentage.
- Look at the table to compare the usual speeds, then copy the summary.

Questions
- How is the time calculated?
- Playing time = original duration ÷ speed. Time saved = original duration − playing time, and the share saved = (speed − 1) ÷ speed. At 1.5× a 60-minute episode lasts 60 ÷ 1.5 = 40 minutes: 20 minutes saved, 33.33 %. A speed below 1 makes the recording longer, and the page then shows the time added instead.
- Which formats can I write?
- One duration per line, up to 200 lines. Use h:mm:ss (1:30:00), mm:ss (45:00: with a single colon the first number is minutes), or numbers followed by units such as 90m, 1h30m, 1h 30m 15s, 1.5 hours or 45s. A number without a unit is refused because it could be minutes or seconds. After a colon, minutes and seconds must be below 60.
- What does the page not count?
- It assumes a constant speed from the first second to the last. Pauses, ads, parts you skip and any silence-trimming feature of your player change the real time, and the page does not know them. Durations are rounded to the second on screen.
- Which speeds can I enter?
- Any value from 0.25 to 4, with decimals if you like, such as 1.35. Your own player may offer fewer steps or a lower maximum, so check what it allows.
