Online Countdown Timer
Set the time, press Start, and get a short beep when it reaches zero — the time left stays visible in your browser tab.
Ready
05:00
How it works
- Type hours, minutes and seconds, or tap a preset such as 5 or 25 minutes.
- Press Start. Pause and resume whenever you need; Reset brings back the time you set.
- When the timer reaches zero, a short beep plays (unless you switched the sound off) and a “Time’s up” message appears.
What people use it for
Focus sessions
Run a 25-minute Pomodoro, then a 5-minute break.
Classroom activities
Give students 10 minutes for an exercise and show the time left on the projector.
Kitchen and workouts
Time pasta, tea, a rest between sets or a 1-minute challenge.
Questions
- Will the timer still work in a background tab?
- Yes. The timer counts down to a fixed end time instead of counting ticks, so it stays accurate when the tab is in the background, and the time left shows in the tab title. Keep the page open: closing it stops the timer.
- Why didn’t I hear the beep?
- Check that your device isn’t muted and that the timer’s Sound switch is on (it is shared with the Randozi wheels). Some phones pause web audio when the screen locks, so keep the screen on for an audible alarm.
- What is the longest countdown I can set?
- Up to 100 hours. Minutes and seconds above 59 are accepted too: 90 minutes is the same as 1 hour 30 minutes.
