Common Free Time Finder

Write when each person is available on a given day, one interval per line such as 09:00-12:30. You get the time slots when all of them are free at once, longer than the minimum you set, with the total shared time and the person who has the least free time. It works on a single day; nothing is sent anywhere.

People and available times

2 to 10 people. 24-hour clock, one day. A person left completely blank is ignored. Up to 200 intervals and 20,000 characters each.

Search window

Only time inside the window counts. Slots shorter than the minimum are left out.

Each person's intervals are merged when they overlap or touch, then intersected one person after another. An interval cannot pass midnight: split it into two lines. All times are read on the same clock, so convert time zones first. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How it works

  1. Type a name for each person and their available intervals, one per line, as 09:00-12:00. Blank people are ignored; you can have 2 to 10.
  2. Read the shared slots and the total time everyone has in common.
  3. Narrow the search window or change the minimum length of a slot if you only want long enough meetings.
  4. Copy the summary to paste it in a message or a calendar invite.

What people use it for

  • Scheduling a meeting

Collect each person's free hours in a message and see at once whether a one-hour slot exists for all of them.

  • Planning a call across a team

Find the few minutes everybody shares and see who limits the choice most, to ask that person first.

  • Matching study or practice time

Compare the free evenings of a group of friends before booking a room or a court.

Questions

How are the common slots calculated?
Each person's intervals are first merged when they overlap or touch (09:00-10:00 and 10:00-11:00 become 09:00-11:00). Then the lists are intersected one person after another: 00:00-01:00 with 00:30-01:30 leaves 00:30-01:00, which is 30 minutes. Slots shorter than the minimum length you set are dropped.
Can an interval pass midnight?
No. Times go from 00:00 to 24:00 on a single day, and the end of an interval must be after its start. Split a late evening into two lines, 22:00-24:00 on one day and 00:00-02:00 on the next, and compare each day separately.
What does “least free time” mean?
It is the person with the smallest total of available minutes inside your search window. If everyone has the same amount, no one is singled out. It points to the person whose schedule is hardest to fit, not to the person who is wrong.
Does this handle time zones or days off?
No. Every time is read as the same clock for everyone, so convert the hours to one time zone first. Only one day is compared at a time, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
