Questions
- What happens when adding a month to January 31?
- The result is the last day of February — February 28, or February 29 in a leap year — instead of spilling over into March. The same rule applies to any month that is too short for the starting day.
- Is adding 1 month the same as adding 30 days?
- No. Adding months keeps the same day of the month (March 15 + 1 month = April 15), while adding days counts every calendar day. Pick the unit that matches your rule.
- Which dates can I use?
- Any date from year 1 to year 9999, using today’s calendar (the Gregorian calendar) for every year.
