Job Rotation Planner
Same person on the same station all day? List the team and the stations and get a fair rotation where everyone moves on every round.

How it works
- List your people, one per line or separated by commas.
- List the stations or tasks the same way.
- Choose how many rounds. Optionally set a start time and the length of a round to get clock times.
- Read the table, copy the plan and check the note that says after how many rounds everyone has done everything.
What people use it for
Production and kitchen lines
Rotate people across repetitive stations to share the hard ones.
Classrooms and workshops
Move groups through activity stations without arguing over who goes where.
Volunteer shifts
Rotate door, stall and cleanup duties across an event day.
Questions
- How does the rotation work?
- The stations form a ring and everyone steps one place forward each round. After as many rounds as there are places in the ring, each person has been on every station exactly once.
- What if there are more people than stations?
- The extra places become rest spots. Everyone still goes through every station and takes the same number of rests over a full cycle.
- What if there are more stations than people?
- Some stations stay open in each round and the open ones move around too, so no station is always left empty. Rotation does not know about skills: check that every person can work every station they reach.
