Questions
- How are the numbers calculated?
- Equal boxes: weight per box = batch weight ÷ boxes, calories per box = batch calories ÷ boxes. Custom portion: calories = batch calories × portion weight ÷ batch weight. 450 g of a 1,800 g batch of 2,400 kcal is 600 kcal, and 1,350 g remain.
- Where do the calories come from?
- Only from you: add up the labels of your ingredients. The tool has no food database and does not look anything up.
- Is the result accurate?
- It assumes the dish is mixed evenly, so every gram carries the same calories. A portion with more meat than sauce will differ. It is a kitchen helper, not medical or dietary advice.
- Does it count the weight of the container?
- No. Weigh the cooked food without the pot, or subtract the empty pot from the batch weight before you type it.
